Wake up after a long night of keeping one eye open. Only to hope to find a high paying mission to keep you going till the next mission comes along. After finding a mission that just pays enough to keep the equipment working. A Flight leader reads the pre mission reports, recruits other pilots if needed and arguing with them about how much pay there expertise is worth. Only after figuring out weapons load and fuel needed to complete the mission will the fun begin. You only have but one chance at making things go right. Any losses may mean the loss of your career as a DCS-Mercenaries flight leader. You see the flight leader pays for all the airframes, weapons and fuel. Without money to replace lost gear the flight leader is reduced back to a plain old Merc. Pilot looking for a job and arguing for max pay. Many pilots want nothing more than to be just along for the ride scoring money as long as he makes it back alive. You see a Merc. Pilot gets paid weather the mission is a success or failure as long as he returns alive to collect. At the end of the day the Flight leader and pilot part ways. The pilots head to the bar to brag about how well they did and the Flight leader go off to check innovatory and drown his sorrows in private not knowing if he will have the right supplies to do the next mission.
Welcome to our homepage. We are virtual mercenaries that flies combat missions online over the Internet using an air combat simulation application titled "DCS Series". Our DCS-Mercenaries are a fictional representation of a mercenary’s life in combat air squadrons and has nothing to do with real world politics. Our main role is to promote aviation and hardcore online competition. All members have good fun playing their roles. Our relations are close and we are more like family for each other. We believe you will enjoy your stay.
A little bit about how we work
Official missions are where DCS-mercenaries can make virtual money. The money is used to buy equipment, fuel and weapons for future missions. Pilots that want to plan mission (not build) around a scenario created by another pilot will need to really think about what is needed in the mission and how many pilots to hire for the mission. Pilots in the pilot pool can be hired to command or just be a wingman for the flight leader. The skills of the pilot will deem how much he/she can request for pay to fly along in the mission. Each Official mission may only be flown once buy each pilot for pay. After that it is just for fun. A pilot will need to acquire about $20,000,00.00 to get started on his own. That 20 mil will buy one KA-50 loaded with weapons and fuel.
As for the pilots not interested in this aspect of the DCS-Mercenaries they may choose to offer there money to another pilot joining pay to start their own base of operations within the DCS-Mercenaries group. Pooling money for better equipment and weapons. Means better and bigger missions that pay more when successful.
For the most part we are here to have fun, learn and enjoy the simulations DCS are releasing.

The Fighter Collection and Eagle Dynamics will release their next Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) aircraft in 2012: the legendary P-51D Mustang. The Mustang was among the best and most well-known fighters used by the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. Possessing excellent range and manoeuvrability, the P-51 operated primarily as a long-range escort fighter and also as a ground attack fighter-bomber with bombs, rockets, and machine guns. The Mustang served in nearly every combat zone during WWII, and later fought in the Korean War.
The DCS: P-51D Mustang will be modelled at the same exacting detail as the existing Ka-50 Black Shark and A-10C Warthog Digital Combat Simulation (DCS) aircraft and it will be online compatible with them. Based on many years of restoring, flying and maintaining Mustangs, The Fighter Collection brings its unique ability to portray this aircraft in its full glory.
The P-51D will be the first aircraft in the Flying Legends series that focuses on historical aircraft that have set benchmarks in combat aviation. This series of simulations demonstrates the broad scope of DCS simulation environment and its ability to introduce aircraft from all eras into a common simulation environment. While the P-51D started as an internal technology demonstration, it has evolved into an independent product that adds an all new dimension to the DCS universe. The development of the P-51D and other Flying Legends series aircraft definitely does not preclude the continued development of modern aircraft.
More details of DCS: P-51D Mustang will be made available closer to product release later this year.
Looking forward to the next add on to the Mercenaries. The Combined Arms add-on wil allow any one with A-10C, BS2 or FC3 to play as a FAC/JTAC ground commander role for us. This will be very helpful in escort and recon missions that require time to locate and talk on air power to the targets.
- act as ground force commanders as the mission is running,
- direct ground units,
- set fire missions for artillery and multiple rocket launchers,
- take the role of a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC).
As the JTAC, players will have:
- night vision goggles,
- IR pointer,
- laser designator,
- Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR).

Happy new year
